Hi everyone! Natalie here. I am your new Treasurer of the SJI International Alumni Association. I am looking forward to being part of a community that inspires the next generation. I graduated from the Class of 2014. 

A little bit about me. I began my academic journey with a Bachelor of Business, specialising in Restaurant Management, at Le Cordon Bleu, in Adelaide, South Australia. During my studies, I took up opportunities to work in Adelaide, Melbourne and Singapore to contribute to my work experience. 

Whilst I was studying at Le Cordon Bleu, I was blessed with the opportunity, by referral of a friend, to join the entrepreneurship club at the University of South Australia as a guest student member. As a member, I participated in entrepreneurship competitions, and helped the club organise events and communicate with stakeholders. 

After graduation, I continued working passionately in the hospitality industry, gaining invaluable experience while working in hotels and restaurants. Eager to expand my skills, I then took up a Digital Marketing Diploma and explored roles in the sales and marketing field before transitioning to the financial industry, reigniting my passion for numbers. During the days in school, my favourite subject was Mathematics. So it was quite exciting coming into the financial industry. 

Today, I am a Financial Planner, specialising in assisting clients with wealth accumulation strategies. Aside from assisting clients in planning for their own financial goals, my primary focus is helping families save for their children’s education. Having had the opportunity to study overseas, I am deeply passionate about providing similar opportunities to the next generation by guiding parents in planning effectively for their children’s academic futures.

This passion, combined with a strong foundation in business, marketing, and hospitality, has equipped me with a unique ability to connect with clients and tailor solutions to their individual goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy boxing, some light running, chess, and getting my nails done —activities that reflect my dedication to maintaining both physical and mental well-being. 

As a proud member of the SJI International Alumni Association, I am excited to contribute as the alumni association’s treasurer. In this role, I aim to support initiatives that strengthen alumni connections and highlight the achievements of SJII’s network. I look forward to giving back and inspiring current and future students to embrace opportunities with confidence and determination. I am always open to a chat and exchanging new perspectives.
