SJI International Alumni Association recently organised our first Human Library Event where we had Bryan Oh '12, Cordillia Tan '15 and Stefanie Goh '14 come down to campus and share their unique entrepreneurial stories.
It was a wonderful evening where we were joined by alumni from various cohorts, and current students who heard openly about each individual’s experiences of becoming and being an entrepreneur. Each speaker had very distinct routes that gave us lots of food for thought. For instance, from Bryan’s continued passion of building businesses and adeptly growing his technical expertise required per domain, to Cordillia bravely building her family business back up to thrive in the new age of marketing and consumers, to Stefanie doing a part-time gifting service business and balancing her full time role as she builds a scalable model of bringing her consumers gift-bound joy.
Not only was it a chance for students from the past and present to interact with each other, it was especially meaningful to see current students thinking about their own business ventures and learning from alumni - one of the many joys of our community! We are thankful for our speakers’ time and look forward to building more such intentional spaces for connection and resonance
A huge thank you to the speakers for sharing their stories and we look forward to building more such intentional spaces for connection and resonance.
